To survey is to know: this is the principle that since ten years animates the Laboratory of architectural Survey in Mantova city, founded by Alessandro Bianchi inside the Polo universitario of Mantova, with collaboration of Massimiliano Zigoi. The development of the contemporary techniques of measurement and representation of the built heritage, through the use of photography, is conducted by a cultural project that guide ourselves from Giorgio de Chirico to Luigi Ghirri, from “Piazze dʼItalia” (Italyʼs Squares, t.b.a.) to “Viaggio in Italia” (Travel in Italy, t.b.a.), from painted city to photographed city. The drawings of this exibition want to represent a snapshot of Piazza Sordello, as if time has stopped, so that tomorrow people will have real memory of how “that tomorrow” had been possible. - Exibition edited by: Alessandro Bianchi
